First Generation

2003 - 2017

Effectively replacing the original Musso 4x4, the first generation of the SsangYong Rexton launched globally in 2001 with the new model first arriving in Europe during 2003. It was praised for its sturdy body-on-frame construction, and its robust Mercedes sourced engines and gearboxes. 

 

Over its lifetime the first generation Rexton received several facelifts, the final one being the Rexton W.

Second Generation

2017 - 2024

SsangYong released the second generation of the Rexton in 2017. It retains a body-on-frame chassis which it now shares with the SsangYong Musso pickup truck.

 

The range of Mercedes engines used in the first generation were replaced by SsangYong designed petrol and diesel units, all of which are turbocharged. Early versions did still use the Mercedes-Benz 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.

What are the trims for the KGM Rexton?
